Born and raised in central NJ, I enjoyed the salad days of late 80s & early 90s East Coast punk rock and skate culture. I was pulled north by the lure of the city so nice they named it twice. With the lyrics of the Beasties bumping in my head, I enrolled at the School of Visual Arts in the fall of '93 and threw myself into the world of fine art.
As my studies continued, I kept feeling that the capital “a”rt world consisted of the same people having pretty much the same conversations. Over and over and over again. I was looking for a broader medium and a more democratic and evolving audience.
Hello Internet!
Toward the end of my college years the internet was coming into the public's awareness. My old love of computers rose to the surface right along side of the dot com bubble.
I toiled for the next few years in the slums and tenements of what would later be dubbed Silicon Alley. As the bubble burst, I moved on to the city of brotherly love, where I continued to work with startups. I love solving problems and working in environments that reward creative thinking.
Communicating, developing and creating the channels and methods that engage users, customers and friends is endlessly fascinating to me. If it gets you excited too, let me know. Let's make something wonderful together.
